The Technische Universität Dresden is investigating the safety of articulated machines with pneumatic tires and driving components in the work cycle. Construction machines without suspension are considered. These machines are characterized by a significant rollover hazard due to their design and working process. The focus is on the lateral rollover hazard and rollover accidents to the machine side using a telescopic wheel loader as a demonstrator. Synergies to industrial trucks and road vehicles are implemented.
