But this development is not limited to passenger cars; hybridisation of the powertrain can also offer ben- efits for mobile machines. For example, the use of tractors has changed to such an extent in recent years that factors such as ride comfort, operating costs and safety are playing an increasingly important role, without of course neglecting the aspect of tractive power.
