Data are presented on the structure and photoelectric properties of lead sulfide films chemically deposited from aqueous solutions containing ammonium halides. The concentration of ammonium halides in the solution has a crucial effect on the microstructure and texture of the films. The photosensitivity and spectral response of the films are shown to correlate with their microstructure.
