Adán Benavides Adán Benavides is a librarian and an assistant to the Head Librarian of the Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Collection, the University of Texas at Austin, since 1998. He is also a doctoral candidate in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, specializing in library and information administration and archival enterprise. He received his bachelor’s degree in history, cum laude, Loyola University, New Orleans, May 1970. He received an M.A. in Latin American History from the University of Texas at Austin, May 1983. He is a recognized historian of northern Mexico and colonial Texas, who has received special honours from historical societies of Nuevo León and Texas. He is best known for his massive The Béxar Archives, 1717–1836: A Name Guide (Austin, 1989) and his numerous historical contributions to archeological reports regarding Spanish and Mexican sites in Texas. Kate Cumming Kate Cumming began to work with the National Archives of Australia (NAA) in 1995 after completing an Honours degree in Australian history at the University of Sydney. In June 1998 she became the Australian Postgraduate Award holder for the Recordkeeping Metadata Research
