It would provide a small institution with an inexpensive and easy-to-use basic online catalog. It handles records of any size and type--as long as it's MARC. The program exhibits a pronounced "library" orientation, however, both in terminology and functionality. Searching in the OPAC (online public access catalog) module is limited to author, title, subject, and publisher.
