Abstract

Sclerotia of Sclerotium cepivorum which were 0.5 to 2.0 cm in diameter were recently found in Tasmania. This large sclerotial form has not previously been reported in Australia. It has been suggested that this form may be a vestige of the perfect stage of the ancestors of S. cepivorum.
