Feedback from freeze-out in hydrodynamics

Feedback from freeze-out in hydrodynamics Most hydrodynamical calculations used in heavy-ion physics ignore the effect of freeze-out matter carrying energy and momentum away from the expanding fluid. In a simple one-dimensional model we compare calculated energy density and velocity profiles, with and without interaction between fluid-like and freeze-out parts of the system, in order to estimate the importance of this effect. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Acta Physica Hungarica Series A, Heavy Ion Physics Springer Journals

Abstract

Most hydrodynamical calculations used in heavy-ion physics ignore the effect of freeze-out matter carrying energy and momentum away from the expanding fluid. In a simple one-dimensional model we compare calculated energy density and velocity profiles, with and without interaction between fluid-like and freeze-out parts of the system, in order to estimate the importance of this effect.
