Maksimov Khristianovich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS, Novosibirsk, Russia E-mail: maksimov@itam.nsc.ru (Received March 26, 2015) November 13, 2015 was the 100th anniversary of Nikolay Alekseevich Zheltukhin, cor- responding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Lenin Prize winner, a famous specialist in the field of thermal engineering, hydrodynamic stability, gas dynamics, and high- velocity aerodynamics. As a scientist and specialist in various fields of science and technology, Dr. Zheltukhin made a significant contribution to the progress of rocket engineering in the USSR, in particular, liquid-fuel rocket engines, and to the development of academic sci- ence in Siberia. His name is mentioned in all editions (1973, 1981, and 1987) of the book entit- led “Development of rocket and space engineering in the USSR” by Valentin Petrovich Glushko, an irreplaceable head of the Design Bureau No. 456 (OKB-456, now EnergoMash named after academician V.P. Glushko), in the collection of papers “Course in rocket engineering.
