Sineoky State Research Institute for Genetics and Selection of Industrial Microorganisms, Kurchatov Institute National Research Center (GosNIIgenetika, Kurchatov Institute NRC), Moscow, 117545 Russia *e-mail: m_tarutina@mail.ru Received November 8, 2018; revised November 28, 2018; accepted January 15, 2019 Abstract—Eff icient expression of the man1 gene for Aspergillus aculeatus β-1,4-mannanase was demonstrated in Pichia pastoris yeast for the f irst time, and industrially important characteristics of the synthesized enzyme were confirmed. β-Mannanases are industrial enzymes that can be used, in particular, in the feed industry. The most important requirements for feed enzymes are a broad pH range, thermal stability, and high specif ic activity. The obtained data indicate that the man1 gene from A. aculeatus is potentially useful for the construc- tion of industrial mannanase producers
