Elementare Bausteine der Problemlösefähigkeit: Problemlösetechniken

Elementare Bausteine der Problemlösefähigkeit: Problemlösetechniken The paper discusses problem solving abilities of children in primary schools. It focuses on heuristic techniques used by children when solving problems. We illustrate that even in primary education combinatorial as well as backtracking techniques are used by children in a natural way without prior instruction. Other techniques described and illustrated are working forward/backward, solution of subgoals and monster barring. The tasks are non standard tasks in different contexts (e.g., puzzles, arithmetic, money). To stimulate problem solving behavior, all tasks are unsolvable. The unsolvability is of a kind which can be understood and proved by children of this age. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal für Mathematik-Didaktik Springer Journals

Abstract

The paper discusses problem solving abilities of children in primary schools.
