Editorial Note

Editorial Note This fifth issue of EBR is devoted to the Economics of Innovation, one of the core fields of this journal. It is really an honor to host in this issue contributions by some of the main scholars in the field, including some of the founders of the discipline: Dick Nelson, Giovanni Dosi, Pierre Mohnen and Bronwyn Hall. The issue is opened by a comprehensive and updated discussion of the state-of-the-art of innovations studies, assessed by the leading evolutionary economists Giovanni Dosi and Dick Nelson. Then, Pierre Mohnen and Bronwyn Hall focus on the relationship between innovation and productivity, while the undersigned explores the link between technology, employment and skills. The last two contributions offer a detailed analysis of the possible impact of R&D subsidies on the demand for researches (Erol Taymaz and Yesim Ucdogruck) and an interesting example of a “sectoral system of innovation” approach, applied to the Chinese software industry (Jun-Youn Kim, Tae-Young Park and Keun Lee). I really thank the authors, the managing editor Ender Demir and the anonymous referees to have made possible to publish an issue that I hope will become a key reference for all scholars in the field of the economics of technological http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Eurasian Business Review Springer Journals
