Editorial

Editorial Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence 25 (1999) 161–164 161 Introduction The Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence has periodically published special issues of the journal dedicated to logic programming and non-monotonic reason- ing. Once again, Prof. Martin Golumbic, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, has graciously invited us to edit a new issue on the topic. The special issue collects eight papers in areas ranging from theoretical issues to experimental comparisons of logic programming semantics. They were selected from 13 papers originally submitted to the logic programming track of the 7th International Workshop on Non-monotonic Reasoning and some other papers specially submitted to the issue. The paper on agency by Robert Kowalski and Fariba Sadri is based on the invited talk Robert Kowalski gave at the plenary session of the workshop. We would like to thank all the authors for contributing to this special issue and the referees (listed below) for their excellent comments and feedbacks. Referees Chitta Baral, Stefan Brass, Weidong Chen, Phan Minh Dung, Thomas Eiter, Burkhard Freitag, Katsumi Inoue, Fangzhen Lin, Norm McCain, Nicola Leone, Luis Pereira, Gerald Pfeifer, Teodor Przymusinski, Carolina Ruiz, Chiaki Sakama, Danny de Schr- eye, Dietmar Seipel, Guillermo Simari, VS Subrahmanian, Francesca Toni, http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence Springer Journals
