Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage is a common complication following spinal surgery. Early detection and proactive treatment are beneficial for preventing the sequelae of prolonged or persistent CSF drainage. This report reviews the current methods for the detection of occult CSF leakage and treatment options in cases of iatrogenic dural violations during spinal surgery.
