The book presented here has been edited by a triumvirate of academics from disciplines too rarely connected: Serge Morand, an evolutionary biologist with extensive experience in parasite ecology and a strong interest in the links between biodiversity and health; Claire Lajaunie, a doctor of law whose research focuses on the links between interna- tional and regional governance, law, ethics, biodiversity and health; and Rojchai Satrawaha, who has experience in ecology and genetics in South-East Asia.
