{~ber alternative Gruppoide, deren Zen~,m alle Quadrate enthiilt Von UwE ~SE~-ScHMrDT und ARMr~ THEDY in Hamburg Die vorliegende l~ote ist aus einer Hausarbeit f'dr das Staatsexamen entstanden, die der zuerst genannte Veffasser unter Anleitung yon Frau Prof. Dr. HEL BRAUN anfertigte. Wir lehnen uns im folgenden an die Sprache yon R. H. BRUCE in [1] an. Es bezeiehne @ die Klasse aller Gruppoide G, ffir die folgende drei Axiome gelten: (A 1) a(ab) = (aa)b, (ab)a ---- a(ba) und (ba)a = b(aa) fiir alle a, beG, (A 2) das Zentrum yon G enth/ilt das Quadrat eines jeden Elements yon G, (A 3) aus az = bz folgt a = b, falls z im Zentrum yon G liegt. Fiir G e ~ gelten beide Kiirzungsregeln. Fiir a e G sei L (a) : G -> G dutch L(a)b = ab definiert. Wir setzen al= a und a'*: L"-l(a)a fiir n > 1. Man sieht leicht L (a") = L ~ (a) fiirn > 1. Folglieh ist G potenz- assoziativ. Lemma. FUr aIle a, beG gilt a(bab) = (ab) ~ -= (aba)b und (ab)(ba) ab~a ~ a~b ~. Beweis. Es ist a(ab) ~ : (a~b)(ab) = a(a(bab)), also (ab) ~ =
