A study on recycled lightweight aggregate concrete

A study on recycled lightweight aggregate concrete The major waste source in India comprises of construction and demolition (C&D) waste. Out of this, a huge extent of valuable serviceable material disposed-off as landfills. The natural and financial suggestions are no longer contemplated economical and, as an outcome, the construction industry is encountering more weight than ever sometime to cope up this hone. On the other hand, ceaseless extraction and quarrying of natural aggregates for construction is causing exhaustion of natural resources. In most of the country, applicability of construction & demolished squanders is limited to non-structural concrete, pavements and backfilling as it were. But the recycled demolished construction waste aggregates utilized in modern building application, gives a promising arrangement to both issues. This research work includes experimental study, performed to explore the properties of reused concrete aggregate collated with that of natural concrete aggregate. From keen observations it has been noticed that high quality and palatable structural concrete can be indeed formed with RCA (as the component materials within the concrete blends), which fundamentally hangs on the features of smashed decimated concrete. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Building Pathology and Rehabilitation Springer Journals

Abstract

The major waste source in India comprises of construction and demolition (C&D) waste.
