To the Heart of the Matter INTEGRATED CARE PATHWAYS Journal if EDITORIAL Jenny Gray Venture Training & Consulting, Chichester, UK It was with great sadness that the care pathway Health Service's Modernisation Agency's Clinical community ofpractice marked the passing away in the Governance Support Team, and wrote a monthly summer of 2006 of Ian Kramer, a steadfast and column for Patient Centred Care. As a person he was exceptional, charismatic, and at the same time passionate supporter of the care pathway approach. In spite of failing health, Ian worked tirelessly at the approachable and ultimately likeable. He was always frontline, at government level and speaking at smiling. international conferences and events, to strike at the heart of the matter: patient-centred care. He shocked, cajoled and delighted us over the years with his witty and entertaining presentations, ideas and messages. In SEEN THROUGH THE USER'S EYES tribute to his memory and to the lasting legacy of his Ian was a prolific and outspoken advocate of the work, I would like to dedicate this editorial to him patient-centred care pathway methodology.
