SVU-CME Test Questions

SVU-CME Test Questions The Journal for Vascular Ultrasound 28(4): 232–233, 2004 The following questions for the SVU-CME examination are based on the article entitled “The prevalence of aorto-iliac disease by duplex ultrasound in patients with suspected lower extrem- ity arterial disease” by Hughes. Both true/false and multiple choice questions are included. There is only one (1) correct answer for multiple-choice test items. Answer all of the questions as listed below. One (1) SVU-CME will be awarded for successful completion of this test with a grade of 80% or more. 1. In this report, disease processes of the aorto-iliac segment were grouped into four categories: A. Extasia (ex), aneurysm (AAA) Non-hemodynamically significant plaque (NHSP), and Hemodynamically significant plaque (HSP). B. Ectasia (EC), Aneurysm (AAA), Non-hemodynamically significant plaque (NHSP), and Hemodynamically significant plaque (HSP). C. Ectasia (EC), Occlusion (OC), Non-hemodynamically significant plaque (NHSP), and He- modynamically significant plaque (HSP). D. Extasia (EX), Occlusion (OC), Non-hemodynamically significant plaque (NHSP), and Hemodynamically significant plaque (HSP). 2. Findings were considered significant if the patient had: A. AAA or OC B. OC or HSP C. EC or AAA D. AAA or HSP 3. When grouped by significant findings: A. 15% presented with AAA and HSP, 15% with AAA http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal for Vascular Ultrasound SAGE
