Reviews More basically, none of the scores or grade norms or percentiles provide any useful information about what a pupil should know or be able to do at any stage in developing reading proficiency. That sort of information must be built into the tests. Test reviewers would do their greatest service to the field by stressing that. It should be said that both the producers and reviewers of reading tests are careful to point out some of the limitations on tests and their uses. Still they are sold and used. Practitioners are often so impressed with norms and percentiles that they ignore the test limitations. Euros ' Reading Tests and Reviews has brought all that is known about reading tests into a single volume, out-of-date at the time of publication.
