Notes and News THE AUSTRALIAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION FOURTEENTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE Sunday 13th May to Thursday 17th May, 1973 The Fourteenth Annual Conference of the College, held at the University of Sydney on the theme, ‘‘ The Educational Process ”, was attended by some 450 members from all states of the Commonwealth and 40 overseas visitors, including 22 frcm Papua New Guinea. The conference opened on the Sunday morning with an impressive and moving College Service, celebrated in the Great Hall, and under the leadership of D. Lloyd, Miss F. Whitlam and Rev. B. Collins. J. Wilson Hogs preached the sermon, while the Singers of David, under the dircction of Sister Gabrielle, led the singing. The remainder of Sunday was given over to the business of registration, the provision of hospitality, and in the evening, the official opening consisting of the Resident’s address and reception, and the admission of 19 fellows. The conference theme was treated in four main addresses and one guest paper. Twenty- nine members’ papers of great variety and interest were grouped around the main addresses and spread over the four days with appropriate discussion periods.
