International Series 6, No.5 October 1993 Health Records Newsletter Edited by Linda Bergen EXECUTIVE REPORT As your Secretary{freasurer, I have been asked to write the Executive Report for this issue of the International Health Records Newsletter. As winter finally draws to a close in the southern hemisphere, we look forward to the festive season and more pleasant weather for the next three to four months. The Executive will hold our next Executive Committee meeting in Melbourne, Australia during the 15th Annual Conference of the Health Information Management Association of Australia. Present and past Executive Committee members met last July to conduct an education workshop on medical record management for the People's Republic of China. (see article in this issue). The comprehensive programme that comprised the workshop had been prepared by Phyllis Watson, Associate Professor from the School of Health Information Management of the University of Sydney, Australia, in conjunction with Mr Liu and Professor Ma. On behalf of the International Federation and fellow lecturers, I thank the Chinese Medical Record Association, Mr Liu, Professor Ma, Professor Feng, and Dr Fan for the hospitality shown to us during our two-week stay.
