He serves as the research leader of the iCARE group (Innovative Cardiac Arrest Research group for best Evidence practice) whose goal is to improve the after care for survivors and their families following a cardiac arrest. He also holds a joint appointment with the Center for Collaborative Palliative Care, Linnaeus University, Sweden. Since 2012, he has served as the associate editor of the European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing. His research and clinical interests include family nursing and cardiac care with an emphasis on development and evaluation of self-rated measurement scales as well as quantitative dyadic analysis. His recent relevant publications include, “Families’ Importance in Nursing Care: Nurses’ Attitudes—An Instrument Development” in Journal of Family Nursing (2008, with E. Benzein, P. Johansson, A. Berg, & B.-I. Saveman), “Factors Associated With Feelings of Reward During Ongoing Family Palliative Caregiving” in Palliative & Supportive Care (2015, with A. Henriksson & I. Carlander), and “Nurses’ Views of Forensic Care in Emergency Departments and Their Attitudes, and Involvement of Family Members” in Journal Clinical Nursing (2014, with J. Rahmqvist Linnarsson & E.
