DR. W. D. NEAL has been Superintendent of Research and Curriculum in the Education Department of Western Australia since 1953. He holds the degrees of RSc. (1947), B.A. (1949), REd. (1952) (Western Australia) and Ed.D. (1957) (Columbia University, N.Y.), A.B.Ps.S. During 1956-1957 he worked as a Research Assistant for the Metro politan Schools Study Council at the Institute of Administrative Research in Columbia University. He held a Fulbright Scholarship during 1955-1957 and a Carnegie Travel Grant in 1957. During that year he represented Australia at the Annual Conference of the International Bureau of Education in Geneva. He has published material in a number of Australian educational journals. DR. L. C. D. KEMP, Vice-Principal of the Armidale Teachers' College since 1951, has had primary and secondary teaching experience, and lectured on Education at the Sydney Teachers' College and the University of New England. He graduated M.A. (Syd.) in Psychology, REd. (Melb.) and Ph.D. (London). DR. L. W. SHEARS is Survey and Planning Officer for the Victorian Department of Education. He was appointed to this position from that of Lecturer in Education and Psychology, first at Toorak Teachers' College, and then at Burwood. He graduated B.A. (1945), RCom. (1947), REd. (1949) at Melbourne, and Ph.D. (1952) at London. DR. J. A. KEATS was appointed Senior Lecturer in Psychology in the University of Queensland in 1956. He graduated B.Sc. at the University of Adelaide in 1944, RA. in Melbourne (1949), and A.M., Ph.D. at Princeton, U.S.A. (1954-1955). After teaching with the S.A. Education Department, he was appointed statistician with the A.C.E.R., and, while at Princeton, was with their Testing Service. DR. S. A. RAYNER was recently appointed to the position of Assistant Registrar at the University of Queensland. Previously he was Research Officer in the Queensland Department of Education. He holds the degrees M.A. (Q'ld.), M.Ed. (Melb.), and Ed.D. (Illinois) and is the author of The Special Vocabulary of Civics. DR. S. W. COHEN has held the position of Vice-Principal at Sydney Teachers' College since 1952, and has lectured in Education at the University of Sydney since 1953. He holds the degrees of B.A. (1937), M.A. (1946) from Sydney University, and Ph.D. (1950) from London. During 1949-50 he was Imperial Relations Trust Fellow at the University of London, and in 1957-1958 spent some time in the U.S.A. as a Fulbright and Smith-Mundt Fellow, studying examination techniques. Dr. Cohen is the author of A Modern French (Harrap: London, 1941), Standardised French Test (ACER: Melbourne, 1947) Course and various articles in the Forum of Education.
