He is the author of Tks Edhl Needs of a Rurd Comm#niCy and The Non-Government Schools of Australia. M. R. DUNSTAN, B.A., Dip.Ed., M.Ed. (1969), from Sydney University, is at present working towards a Ph.D. in the field of Testing in Education. His M.Ed. work was oh the Examining Qf English at the Matticulation hvel. He has spit some time wit% the N.S.W. Department of Education as Research Officer, and for one year worked with the A.C.E.R. in Melbourne. DR. M. BALSON is a Secondary Guidance OfEcer in the Psychology and Guidance Branch of the Victorian Department of Education. He graduated B.Com., B.Ed. from the Uhiversity of Melbourne, and obtained his Ed.D. at the University of California in 1958. He is a member of Phi Delta Kappa and is interested mainly in counselling and guidm. REV. BR. N. LANDBNER, B.A., BSc.. M.Ed., has had experience in teaching mathe- matics and science in secondary classes in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. At present he is Senior Science Master at St. Joseph’s College, Brisbane, and is President of the Science Teachers’ Association of Queensland. He is a valuer in the Junior Public Ekamination in Physics, and a member of the Physics Syllabus SubGommittee of the Queetldaatd Board of Post-Primary Studies and Examinations. N. I?. DUFTY, at present Head of the Departhlent of Management Studies at perth Technical &liege, has had oonsiderable experiehbe in the field of Nzetallurgy. He holds the degrees of A.Met. (Sheffield), B.A. (W.A.), M.A. (Illinois) and F.I.M. (London). and is a member of the Council of the Australian Institute of Management, Perth Division, and the Council of the W.A. Bratlch of the Economic Society of Australia and New Zealatld. THE AUSTRALIAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION The A.C.E.R. and the Editors welcome to the readers of the Journal those members of The Australian allege of Rducation who have not previously been subscribers, and who now, M Eaembeta of the College, receive the Jodrnal for the firse time. From its outset. we have been concerned that the Journal should interest those who are leadem in their profession.
