Its editorial philosophy is: To provide business owners with a publication that helps ease the responsibilities and increase the rewards of business owner­ ship. To provide thorough and practical understanding of the capital markets and the methods of financing. To report significant developments in taxation, accounting, insurance, estate planning, pension fund management and corporate law. To monitor government financing programs available to the small and medium-sized business. To present innovative ideas of other business owners. The first several issues included articles on a variety of topics: public offerings, insurance capital, pensions, selling the business, managing insurance, leasing, income averaging, boosting sales and capital budgeting. The diversity of subject matter appeared to meet their stated objectives with respect to topic coverage.
