Svavarsdottir and Jonsdottir’s new book is a cutting-edge treasure trove of relevant helpful ideas! Emphasizing translational knowledge in fam- ily nursing, the book covers three main areas: practice models in family nurs- ing, results of family nursing research and intervention, and innovations in programs of nursing research within a variety of health care settings and countries. The circularity between research and practice is beautifully dem- onstrated in several chapters; knowledge exchange is emphasized. Unique to the book is a forward before each of the three sections in which Benton, Gilliss, and Chesla comment on the field of family nursing and the chapters in their respective section.
