Boca Raton: CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, 2019, 203 pp., `900. ISBN: 978-1-138-05450-9 (Hardcover). Climate change presents an unprecedented challenge to global environmental, economic, and social stability. For the densely populated and resource-reliant region of South Asia, the difficulty is further compounded. This region is struggling with framing efficient policies related to climate change adapta- tion and mitigation, and sustainable management of shared resources. So far, top-down policy frame- works predominate the climate change adaptation measures in South Asia. Till date, very few scholarly attempts have been made to understand climate change governance at local level. In this context, the book titled Climate Change Governance and Adaptation: Case Studies from South Asia is a valuable addition to the understanding of the changing dynamics in the resource-reliant societies and redefined roles of various formal and non-formal institutions. With eight separate case studies from South Asia, the book provides a nuanced understanding of community perception on climate change http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Environment and Urbanization Asia SAGE
