Mitchell, PhD, The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA DOI: 10.1177/0733464815584671 Baby Boomers of Color highlights the unique cultural and biopsychosocial needs of African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Latino, and Native American/Alaskan Native elders from a distinct social work perspective. In the opening chapters, Melvin Delgado utilizes data on population demo- graphics to frame a broad but thorough discussion on financial well-being, health care access and quality, and affordable housing for elders of color, while addressing the ongoing debate over the economic impact of an aging baby boomer generation on the Social Security and Medicare systems in the United States. In doing so, Delgado attends to stark differences between the more capitalistic generational equity perspective and the intergenerational equity perspective, the latter focusing on the inherent value of multiple gen- erations and their non-economic contributions to communities.
