We look forward to the forthcoming issues of this informative, thought­ fully conceived, and scholarly prepared series of publications, which for Volume 4 has announced the translation of the Soviet Maritime Code of 1929, with comments by Messrs. Szirmai and J. D. Korevaar and an intro­ duction by Professor R. P. Cleveringa. As the editor notes in the annunce- ment, the Maritime Code presents the particularity of having had the bulk of its provisions applied to this day, showing a remarkable resilience for a code enacted in the period of the New Economic Policy.
