Reviews by Ole Lando * The subject of both books is the sale of goods. The main part of Hellner's "Kopratt" is devoted to a presentation of the Swedish Sale of Goods Act 1905 (hereinafter called SGA). Schlechtriem's "Einheitliches UN-Kaufrecht" deals with the Convention on Con­ tracts for the International Sale of Goods (hereinafter called CISG) which was adopted at the U.N. Conference held in Vienna from 10 March to 11 April, 1980, where Schlechtriem was a member of the delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany. Both laws are uniform laws. The Swedish SGA is a version of the Nordic Uniform Law on Sale of Goods, one of the oldest Nordic Uniform Laws in force, and at the same time the most important. CISG is the newest and hitherto most important attempt to create a world law in civil and commercial matters.
