Stoljar's Chapter 7, on Children, Parents and Guardians, was first to appear in 1973, followed in 1974 by the late Max Rheinstein's introduction on The Family and The Law, in 1976 by Harry Krause's Chapter 6, on the Creation of Relationships of Kinship, and in 1980 this Chapter on Interspousal Relations. The work was completed in 1975 an d some significant subsequent devel­ opments have been taken into account.
