Computer-assisted judicial decision-making INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LEGAL METHODOLOGY A group of French law academics, headed by Professor Jean-Louis Bergel of Aix-en-Provence, recently founded the International Association of Legal Methodol­ ogy and proceeded to establish local chapters in many nations around the world. The basic idea behind the Association is to concentrate on one area within the gen­ eral subject of jurisprudence, namely the interpretation of the law and the method­ ological aspects of the legal process on a comparative basis. The first Annual Meeting of the Association will be held in Aix on 5-7 September 1988 on the subject of "The Standard in the Different Legal Systems." Faculty members and others who may be interested in becoming members, con­ tacting the Association, or proposing a topic should get in touch with me, Professor P. John Kozyris, 1659 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43210 (614-292-0701). FORDHAM CORPORATE LAW INSTITUTE European/American Antitrust and Trade Law will be the subject of the fif­ teenth annual Fordham Corporate Law Institute to be held in New York on 20-21 October 1988. The program will examine: European Community Competition and Antidumping Law; New EEC Regulations on Knowhow Licensing and Franchising; Anticompetitive State Measures in the EEC; EEC Competition Policy and Enforce­ ment; joint ventures and mergers under EEC law; EEC member state merger law and policy; the revised Justice Department antitrust guidelines for international op­ erations; and EEC Retaliation Against U.S. Unfair Trade Practices.
