Bulletin Members of the International Academy of Comparative Law will hold a meeting to elect members and transact other business at a luncheon on Thursday, August 23, at noon in the Faculty Club of McGill University during the XIII Congress of Comparative Law, called for August 19-25, 1990. International Faculty of Comparative Law The International Faculty of Comparative Law, with its seat at Strasbourg, France, has revised its program of instruction. As usual, th e Faculty will offer in the future two cycles, an introductory first cycle and an advanced second cycle. The major change in the first cycle, which, as usual will be taught in three linguistic sections (French, English and German), will be to lengthen the number of lectures to add greater depth to th e introduction to the English com mon law and to the variant in the United States, and to the intro duction to socialist law so as to encompass the considerable variations now appearing in Eastern Europe. The second cycle ad vanced series will provide comparisons in more topics and at greater depth. To accommodate the expansion there will be two series of such courses, which will be presented in rotation in alternate years. Information on future programs, which will be given at Stras bourg during the European spring vacations (usually in early April, depending upon the date of Easter), is available at the Office of the Dean, Faculte International de Droit Compare, Place d'Athenes, STRASBOURG-CEDEX, France, 67084. Scholarships are available on indication of need.
