Plot size was 4 rows by 40 ft long on 38 inch centers. Plots were arranged in a RCB with 4 replications. Insecticides were applied with a tractor-mounted sprayer calibrated to deliver 10.0 gpa at 60 psi through TX-6 Hollow Cone nozzles (2 per row). Nine spray adjuvants were evaluated in combination with Transform insecticide against the untreated control (UTC). Treatments were applied when tarnished plant bug density reached economic threshold. Plants were 48 inches tall and approximately in the second week of bloom. The first application was made on 11 Jul followed by a second application on18 Jul. There are two sample dates for each spray application; 4 DAT1), 7 DAT1, 4 DAT2, and a 7 DAT2. Two drop cloth samples of 5-row-ft each were taken for each plot on each sample date. Data was analyzed with ANOVA and means were separated using Fisher’s Protected LSD (P ≤ 0.05). All treatments had significantly fewer TPB nymphs at 4 DAT1 and 4 DAT2. There were no statistical differences among any treatments and the UTC at 7 DAT1.
