Hunt Bean leaf beetle (BLB): Cerotoma trifurcata (Forstera) Foliar treatments of registered and non-registered insecticides for BLB control were applied to soybean plots on 2 Jun. A RCB design with four replications was utilized. All liquid insecticides were applied with a back-pack sprayer calibrated to deliver 20 gpa at 30 psi. One pre-count and three post treatment beetles counts were taken on 1, 5, and 12 DAT. Combine yields were taken on 4 Oct and adjusted to 13% moisture. Results were analyzed using ANOVA and treatment means were separated using LSD (P ≤ 0.05). There were significantly lower beetle numbers for the Cruiser seed treatment than the untreated check for the pre count. At 1 DAT, beetle counts indicated the insecticide control of the foliar treatments. On 5 DAT, all treatments had significantly lower beetle numbers than the untreated check. By 12 DAT, there was no significant difference in beetle numbers between any of the treatments and the untreated check.
