Use of photodynamic therapy in the management of papulopustular rosacea Rosacea is a common, chronic inflammatory skin condition with a significant psychosocial impact. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been found to both selectively destroy sebaceous glands and have an immunomodulatory effect on the skin. Therefore, this modality is being increasingly used in the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses. PDT is simple to perform, using equipment that is often already available in aesthetic clinics. Abstract

Rosacea is a common, chronic inflammatory skin condition with a significant psychosocial impact. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been found to both selectively destroy sebaceous glands and have an immunomodulatory effect on the skin.
