Laser tattoo reduction and removal: assessment, risk profile and clinical endpoints Following the success of television programmes such as My Tattoo Hell, channel 4 documentary Bodyshockers and reality-based series LA Ink, tattoos have become an even more fashionable, popular part of Western society. As such, there has been a marked increase in demand for laser tattoo removal. The purpose of the article is to look at the growing culture surrounding tattoos, discuss regulation for laser tattoo removal, and identify how this relates to aesthetic nursing. The author will explore several key areas, including where tattoos come from and their place in today's society, through to how laser tattoo removal works, the consultation process and how to use a holistic nursing approach. Abstract
