With great pleasure the ASA Committee has recently received a number of membership applications from Swiss lawyers, in particular: Dr. Bernhard Christen, Lawfirm Gfeller, Christen Henz, Basle; Elizabeth Dougherty, Lawyer, Geneva; lic. iur. Jean-Marc Joerin, Lawfirm Oeri, Barth, Kogler, Schmid, Sigl, Joerin, Burckhardt, Basle; Carlo Lombardini, Lawfirm Poncet, Turrettini, Amaudruz, Neyroud, Geneva; lic. iur. Urs Lustenberger, Lawfirm Pestalozzi Gmuer & Heiz, Zurich; and, in addition, an impressing number of non-Swiss professors and lawyers who have expressed their interest to become Members of our Association upon an invitation extended to them by the ASA Committee. All of them are well-known and eminent specialists in the field of international arbitration. They all have contributed very significantly to its success and its evolution during the past one or two decades. While their names are well familiar to most of us, we were tempted to add a few words in respect of each one of them for a proper introduction and for a hearty welcome within our Association.
