ASA News MINUTES OF ASA GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 24 SEPTEMBER 2010 1. Minutes of the General Assembly of 25 September 2009 The minutes were published in the ASA Bulletin 4/2009. ./. The minutes are approved unanimously. 2. President's report President Michael E. Schneider reports on the activities of the year 2009 under the presidency of Dr Markus Wirth: In January the annual conference discussed "Truth in Arbitration", and the Practice Building Seminar was held together with DIS in Badenweiler. The Conference in September presented recent jurisprudence by the Swiss Supreme Court. In 2010 the Conference in January discussed "advocacy in arbitration", an issue that is receiving increasing attention. ASA's first advocacy-prize was awarded to Dr Franz Schwarz, the laudatio was held by Bernhard Hanotiau. In the light of the experience of this first attribution, the concept of the prize is being examined so that the next attribution planned for 2012 can take it into account. The Practice Building Seminar of 2010 was held in Skokloster and co-organised with the Swedish Arbitration Association.
