Man sagt gewöhnlich, daß das Schielen nach der Ab lenkung der Gesichtslinie vom fixierten Objekt zu beurteilen ist und spricht von „Scheinschielen“ , wenn diese Ablenkung nur scheinbar dadurch zustande kommt, daß in folge sehr starker Winkelabweichung von optischer Achse und Sehachse die Ge sichtslinie scheinbar, dagegen die optische Achse wirklich ab gelenkt ist. Man kann also auch allgemeiner sagen: W ir ha ben stets den Eind ruck des Schielens, wenn die optische Achse vom Fixierpunkt abgelenkt ist. Diese Definition paßt aber noch nicht für alle F ä lle , sondern nur fü r wirkliches Schie len und Scheinschielen durch großen Winkel y ; sie kann um fassender sein; denn es gibt noch eine andere Art des Schein schielens, die nirgends beschrieben wird. W ill man diese mit in die Definition hineinbringen, so muß es heißen: W ir haben den Eindruck des Schielens stets dann, wenn die optische Achse abgelenkt ist oder abgelenkt zu sein scheint.
