Aut' der Hornhaut fehlten irgendwelche pathologischen Veränderungen — keine Spur von einem Pannus trachomatosus. Anwesend war noch eine Granulationsgeschwulst an der Bindehaut des unteren Lides. In dem Bindehautepithel der oberen Lider, gefärbt nach Giemsa, waren nur spärliche Trachomkörperchen nachweisbar, während in dem von der Oberfläche der Granulation abgeschabten Epithel Trachomkörperchen in grosser Menge konstatiert wurden, und das vorzugsweise in den angeblichen späteren Stadien der Entwicklung.“ Ob dies ein unkomplizierter Fall von Vernal-Katarrh ist, möchte ich aus der Beschreibung allein nicht schliessen, — der Fall gibt aber viel zu denken. Die Eosinophilie beim Vernal-Katarrh deutet wahrscheinlich auf eine infektiöse Aetiologie. Anmerkung. H.
