Idea Group Publishing, o 2002. ¨ In this book, à ke Gronlund gives an overview of research on the signiï¬cance of ICT in the public sector. A public sector model with three nodes â formal politics, administration and civil society â is presented as an underlying framework for the contributions to this volume. The nodes are interrelated in a complex process dominated by organisational change and the introduction of IT. In his introduction, the editor sketches the main arguments of the sixteen contributions in terms of the public sector framework. The book is divided into three parts: design, applications and management. 1. Design Gr¨ nlundâs introductory chapter gives a brief overview of international eGovernment developments, o including those of the EU, in which he points at the predominance of a technical and economic dimension, at the expense of a more social dimension. He goes on with an overview of eGovernment deï¬nitions, applications, management issues, and general âeGov issuesâ.
