Strength, Fracture and Complexity 4 (2006) 1 IOS Press Guest-editorial This special issue includes selected papers presented at Mini-Symposium and Special Session on high temperature fatigue and creep, The 11th International Conference on Fracture (ICF 11) held in Torino (Italy) on 20â25 March 2005 under Chairman, Professor Alberto Carpinteri. The International Conference on Fracture is organized by The International Congress on Fracture (ICF), which was founded in 1965, exactly forty years ago by Professor Takeo Yokobori, and is today the premier international body and forum for promoting worldwide cooperation among scientists and engineers on fracture, fatigue, materials strength, structural damage and integrity. The International Conference on Fracture is held every four years in different parts of the world. The rest of papers which could not be included in this special issue will be follow in the next issue. The Guest-editors of this special issue wish to thank all the authors of the papers.
