In order to overcome the problems of large correction error and low correction efficiency existing in the traditional colour correction algorithm of art works, this paper proposes a colour correction algorithm of art works based on mapping rules. The algorithm establishes a colour deviation detection model based on the colour degree and naturalness of the image, and detects the colour deviation of the image of art works. Using the mapping rules to calculate the colour deviation of the colour deviation image and based on the colour deviation calculation results, the improved gray world method based on standard deviation weighting is used to correct the colour of art works, and the colour correction of art works is then completed. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has good image colour and naturalness, small angle error, high correction efficiency, and the maximum correction error is less than 0.2.
