Preparing and re-using web services for choreography Web Service technologies offer a new and successful way for interoperability among web applications. However, there is not a unique standard opinion as to how Web Service composition must be implemented. Besides, services involved in compositions are generally strongly coupled, which raises problems with design, implementation, maintenance and evolution. Moreover, most Web Service composition-related research is centred on orchestrations, in which one of the services manages the interaction flow, and there are no proposals regarding the implementation of choreographies, where control over the composition does not fall on one of the composed services, but is distributed. This paper shows one approach to the question of how to prepare services for choreography by using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) header information and aspect-oriented techniques, thus improving modularity, scalability and flexibility in this type of composition.
