With the concept of Industry 4.0, 'Made in China 2025' and industrial internet of things (IIoT) was put forward, the global manufacturing industry is changing towards intellectualisation. These technologies, such as internet of things (IoT), edge computing, big data and artificial intelligence, have provided strong support and impetus for the revolution of the information process. Industrial Internet of Things, as a combination of the deep information fusion and manufacturing technology, will inevitably provide comprehensive data for manufacturing ecology, optimising task scheduling and user services in the future. In this paper, we first introduce the condition of IIoT. In part 2 we put forward an architecture of IIoT. In part 3, we explain some core technologies of this domain and analyse the opportunities and challenges we faced nowadays in part 4. At last, we make a conclusion of this paper and look forward to a prospect.
