Abstract

The objective of this paper is to explore the effects of application of knowledge management on value creation in supply chain and based on an empirical study covering ten home appliance manufacturing firms in Iran. A conceptual model is empirically tested identifying the relationships amid supply chain value, knowledge management and firm performance through an integrated knowledge management-balanced scorecard analysis. The results reveal the positive effects of knowledge management on balanced scorecard approach in manufacturing industries. It is found that customer perspective has stronger and positive impact on balanced scorecard approach. The fifth phase of knowledge management that explains implementation of knowledge management has stronger and positive impact on knowledge management approach too. Another result of this research is that employee perspective has positive and stronger effect on supply chain value. The main is that knowledge management and balanced scorecard cooperation has positive effect on supply chain value.
