The sustainability-focused and Industry 4.0-empowered Lean Six Sigma (LSS) approach is evolving as a robust business agenda for quality excellence in the manufacturing sector. This paper aims to present a state-of-the-art literature review on LSS from manufacturing sustainability and Industry 4.0 viewpoints. Authors have extracted the related literature from various databases and segregated it for descriptive, empirical, and exploratory research perspectives. Also, the list of common and uncommon enablers and barriers is presented. This paper provides many future research directions on LSS in the manufacturing sector from both Industry 4.0 and manufacturing sustainability viewpoints.
