Abstract

In this paper, we present a strategy study on cross-culture communications in a collaborative work. On the basis of defining several concepts about languages and media, low-context and high-context communications, a logic framework to implement the cross-culture communications is outlined and a flowchart of apperceiving and understanding the useful information from cross-culture communication processes is illustrated. In order to cut down the misunderstandings generated by using languages and various media, we also qualitatively analyse potential factors to influence the successful cross-culture communication in a collaborative work by means of using fish-bone charts. The final purpose of this research is to build operational guideline to support the cross-culture-communication-driven collaborative work.
