Carr, M.D. The Consortium for Psychoanalytic Research, Inc. (CPR), an association of 16 organizations in the National Capital Area who seek to promote research in psychoanalytically based psychotherapy, held its annual conference on January 28, 2007, at Sibley Memorial Hospital. The CPR invited dream researcher Clara Hill, Ph.D. to present her work and to participate in a discussion of its applicability to psychoanalytic therapy. The annual conference also includes a research project to be completed during its proceedings. After Hill presented her research method for working with dreams in psychotherapy and a summary of her research results on insight in dream work, a panel of analysts and psychoanalytic psychotherapists discussed the relevance of her research to analytic work. The conference concluded with audience participation in a demonstration of the Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR) method applied to example data from Hill's research. The conference began with introductory remarks from the chairpersons of the Consortium for Psychoanalytic Research, Erminia Scarcella, M.D. and Michele Schottenbauer, Ph.D. Hill then explained
